This November 8-10 in Rome Italy, our team joined Frontiers Health 2023 as a gold sponsor, contributing to the global conference’s outstanding community of health innovators and inspiring content. After taking some time to reflect on all that unfolded, we’re excited to revisit and share our most memorable moments, offering you a glimpse into the 3-day event from our point of view.

Going beyond Parkinson’s

Our Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, Gerry Chillè, joined Sohini Chowdhury, Chief Program Officer, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research; Robert Konrat, Professor, University of Vienna; Karoly Nikolich, moderator of the session and Adjunct Professor, Stanford University School of Medicine, for the plenary panel Beyond Parkinson’s: An emerging unified approach toward neurodegenerative disease impacting therapeutic development and technology applications & platforms for the benefit of patients.

Gerry Chillé concluded the panel, going in depth about the Soturi project, a digital therapeutics solution for Parkinson’s Disease whose continued development is supported by a generous grant from The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Soturi captures Real-World Data (RWD) through a consumer-grade wearable that is accompanied with an app where people with Parkinson’s can report their medication plans and the symptoms they are experiencing.

He proceeded to discuss our newly launched feasibility study, focused on validating the Real-World Data (RWD) collected thus far. The initial data reveals active engagement from patients, a promising indicator. Furthermore, the study has witnessed a particularly positive response, with two neurologists expressing interest in incorporating the Soturi app into their broader patient care strategies.
